Kayla Kroh is a remarkable 15-year-old indie artist from York, Pennsylvania - a beautiful and soulful singer, songwriter and stunning beyond her years in performance. If you ask Kayla who inspires her indie style, her list of artists include: Miranda Lambert, Adele, Dolly Parton, Martina McBride, Carrie Underwood, We The Kings, Pentatonix, Cold Play, Jesse J, Pink, Nora Jones and the list goes on. Her ability to write her own music and take cover songs from various genres and make them her own unique acoustic style has landed her a very solid following and show schedule.

October 19, 2013, Kayla’s hard work and dedication to her music was awarded MyRuralRadio.com 2013 Artist of the Year. This honor was awarded to Kayla during Fall Fest Five held at Naylor’s Winery. Special thanks to Mike Males and Trampas Ferree.

While Kayla is a fulltime distinguished honor student at Central High School, she juggles her busy performing schedule with also being involved in Senior Honors Choir, Concord and within the theatrical department at school. She never waivers from her music, but continues to strive to make it diverse and enhanced with each show.

Kayla began taking voice and guitar lessons from local educator and performer Heather Sneeringer in August of 2010.

These lessons sparked a fire that led Kayla to attempt writing her own songs. May 18, 2012, with the help of producers Bobby Gentilo and Jason Hoffheins, she got in the studio and brought the songs to life and released her E.P. entitled “On Your Own”. While Kayla was only 12 years old at the time, her songwriting and singing abilities along with a talented group of seasoned musicians, they created a mature and polished product that belied her young age. Her music is now featured on MyRuralRadio.com, SongwritersIsland.com, iTunes, Amazon.com and CD Baby.

Kayla’s has had the pleasure of performing the National Anthem at the York Revolutions home games and GAWDA’s National Convention in Colorado Springs, CO, performing in a MDA Benefit Concert with Bucky Covington, a Fundraiser for Lt. Kelly with John Michael Montgomery, opening for Melanie Martinez at the Chameleon Club, on December 22, 2013 will be opening up for Scotty McCreery and Kristy Lee Cook at WGTY 107.7 Jingle Bell Jam and in March of 2014 participating the “These Colors Don’t Run” benefit for the Keystone Warriors! The future is wide open for Kayla, and she has begun filling her schedule into 2014.
